Birthplace: London, England, UK. Londoner Tim Roth's father was a journalist and his mother a landscape painter. Initially enrolling in art school with hopes of becoming a sculptor, Roth decided to try acting, instead. His first appearance was in a production of Jean Genet's The Screens. On stage, screen, and television, Roth has made his greatest impression as emotionally troubled villains, including 's The Hit, 's Reservoir Dogs, and 's Pulp Fiction.
